The Book Review Club - March Chick Lit Pick!

Today, is my first official Book Review Club post and I'm thrilled to participate. :) Thanks to the amazing, Barrie, author of I SO DON'T DO MYSTERIES for organizing this event!

As some of you already know, I write a monthly book recommendation/review column for SOUTH JERSEY MOM (the entire mag is also posted online). Check out my March Chick Lit Pick column below and visit the complete list of clubbers here for some more reviews.

March's Pick:
By: Clare O'Donohue

Twenty-six year old New York City native, Nell, is elated when her traditional homemade engagement quilt created by her beloved grandmother, Eleanor, arrives in the mail. Later, Nell's excitement turns to a mixture of shock and anguish after her fiance calls off their wedding.

Instead of wallowing in despair, Nell packs up the gift and seeks refuge at her grandmother's quaint quilt show nestled snug in the town of Archer's Rest. After spending time with an eccentric group of quilters, Nell re-examines her life and eventually begins to move on with local handyman, Marc. Things are going smoothly until Marc is found stabbed to death with scissors. Overnight, Nell transforms into Nancy Drew and begins to unravel the murder mystery layer by layer, discovering more about Marc, her fiance, her grandmother's quilt group, and herself than she ever deemed possible.

THE LOVER'S KNOT is a comforting, warm, and twisty mystery. It's the perfect book to curl up with on a lazy Sunday.
Happy Birthday, Dru! I'm definitely recommending THE LOVER'S KNOT for you! ;)

So, what do you think of THE LOVER'S KNOT? Are you reading anything great lately? I'm on my way to the library today for research on my next WIP. A pile of tween books is waiting for me and I can't wait to dig in. :)

CONTEST ALERT: To celebrate Alyson Noel's author anniversary, she's giving away a signed copy of EVERMORE here. Check it out.. I can't wait to crack open my copy. :)

Have an fantastic day, everyone!

Welcome to the Book Review Club! This book sounds like a real genre bender: romance, women’s fiction and mystery. I haven’t heard of the author so thanks for the introduction.

Did you take that March 2 photo below? It’s lovely – like a painting.

Sounds like an interesting book. I'm not sure what it is about crafting mysteries, but they seem to do well, don't they?

You're right, Carrie! Crafter mysteries do really well. :)
