YAY 4 YA JULY GIVEAWAY

Thanks everyone for sharing your fave vacation spots. Kaci and I are having a blast picking the winner. BTW, my daughter's bucket is wet from the beach, so we swapped the bucket with a basket to pick the winner. :)

Speaking of having a blast, I adore July. Why? Because July is filled with fun in the sun. In fact, the fun possibilities are endless - beach, boardwalk, bay, biking, barbeques, fireworks.. The list goes on and on. :)

This month, I'm celebrating July by giving away two fantastic fun summer reads: Bev Katz Rosembaum's I Was a Teenage Popsicle and Heather McElhatton's Pretty Little Mistakes: A Do Over Novel.

I Was a Teenage Popsicle follows Floe Ryan, a girl who is frozen at sixteen because of a disease outbreak. Now, it's ten years later and Floe is thawed. IWATP is an adorable, fun book.

Pretty Little Mistakes: A Do Over Novel is a unique one. Remember choose your own adventure stories? Pretty Little Mistakes: A Do Over Novel is the adult version. At the end of each chapter, you make a decision and choose what you are going to do, then the book directs you to the correct page. Tons of fun.

Since this month's theme is fun, what do you do for fun? It doesn't necessarily have to do with summer, but if you had all the time in the world, what would you do? If I had an entire day devoted to fun, I would golf or play some sort of sport in the morning, hang out at the beach with my family and friends during the day, find time to read and write, eat a nice dinner at my favorite restaurant, then hit the boardwalk at night with my daughter, hubby, nieces, and entire extended family.

Here are the contest rules:

1. To enter to win, leave a comment about what you like to do for fun.
2. The contest ends at midnight on July 31, 2008 and the winner will be posted on August 1, 2008. My two year old daughter will pick the winner out of a basket. :)
3. The contest is open to everyone. Don't be shy, my writer friends. :)
4. If you post the contest on your blog or on MySpace, you automatically receive two entries.

Good luck! ;)

YAY FOR YA JUNE GIVEAWAY

Another month another contest. I love giving away books and already I notice a de-clutter difference in my office. Thanks everyone for entering. :)

June is one of my top three favorite months of the year. Why? Because June is the month I married my hubby, the month I found out I was going to be an aunt for the first time, and the month school always let out for the summer. I love June.

After writing the blog for Story Siren about proms, I started thinking about weddings. The ultimate prom. In celebration of June, I'll be giving away two summer novels, Sarah Dessen's That Summer (Haven is dealing with her father's and sister's weddings.) and an ARC of Polly Williams's A Bad Bride's Tale (Stevie's getting older and decides to settle for Not Quite Mr. Right.).

That Summer is obviously amazing because Dessen wrote it. Enough said.

A Bad Bride's Tale is a cute, light beach read about a woman who decides to marry her longtime boyfriend because she's afraid her soul mate will never come along. Loved it. I received this one through my South Jersey Mom Magazine Chick Lit Pick column.

Since this month's contest is overflowing with weddings and fantastic trips follow weddings, what is your fave vacation spot? If you haven't visited your favorite vacation spot yet, tell me about a place that you would love to visit. I would love to visit Hawaii and I declare Hawaii my favorite vacation spot. :) Good luck.

Here are the rules:

1. To enter to win, leave a comment about your favorite vacation spot.
2. The contest ends at midnight on June 30, 2008 and the winner will be posted on July 1, 2008. My two year old daughter will pick the winner out of a bucket. :)
3. The contest is open to everyone! Don't be shy, my writer friends. :)
4. If you post about the contest on your blog or MySpace, you automatically receive two entries.

Good luck! :)

YAY FOR YA MAY GIVEAWAY

Today marks the first day of my first contest. Here we go, the start of my de-cluttering and the end of my book hoarding. :)

Since the end of May signifies the start of summer, I decided to giveaway two great beach reads, Alyson Noel's Kiss and Blog (set in Laguna Beach, California) and Claire Cook's Life's a Beach (obviously beachy). The only reason I can seriously part with these fantastic books is because I ordered another amazing Alyson Noel book on Amazon yesterday and I still have another Claire Cook book on my bookshelf.

Kiss and Blog is a blast, filled with plenty of page turning conflict. I couldn't put this novel down and the copy I'm giving away is definitely loved.

Life's a Beach is a hardback, sensational summer read that I received through my South Jersey Mom column, Chick Lit Pick

Since this month's Yay for YA! is all about summer, what's your favorite summer memory, moment, or vacation? Mine happened in June 2001. It involved a white dress and an amazing trip afterwards. :)

Here are the rules:
1. To enter, leave a comment and tell me about your favorite summer memory, moment, or vacation.
2. The contest ends at midnight on May 31st and the winner will be posted on June 1st, 2008.
3. This contest is open to everyone. Don't be shy, my writer friends! :)
4. If you post about the contest on your blog or on MySpace, you automatically receive two entries.

Good luck!
