Thank You Tan in a Can

Today, I'm over at Pretty Tough blogging about hitting. :)

I love Tan in a Can. And every year, it's getting better and better. When Tan in a Can first hit the shelves, it was terrible and left orange streaks. But now, it comes in spray bottles, lotions, and even the tanning salon offers a spray. See, Tan in a Can turns my skin brown, like a normal tan should look, not this reddish copper color natural sun tanning produces. And it stays on, unlike a real suntan which disappears after a day. Yes, there is a little nagging voice that wonders if the chemicals in Tan in a Can are worse for my skin then the sun. But, I'm addicted to the Can and I don't have to lay out for hours wishing to get bronze. I can just rub it on like a lotion. :)

Any other tanning lovers out there? If not, what product are you thankful for?

FYI:  Teri Brown is hosting a READ MY LIPS launch blog party this week. Check it out to win some amazing books and giveaways. Have a great day! :)

Just wanted to let you know, you left your comment while I was changing the blog, so to be entered into today's drawing you need to comment again... and trust me, you do. I'm giving away chocolate today:)

i've always wanted to try some sort of tanning lotion, but no doubt it's a habit that you'd have to maintain and i'm just too lazy for all that. :)

Wait - what about the picture of the cute little orange guy? Did you do that? My kids would LOVE it!

Oh, I like that Jergens stuff. The only problem with self-tanning is a dip in the jacuzzi can leave you looking like you have a bad case of leprosy . . .but otherwise, it's all good!

Hi, Virginia - Oh yes, maintenance is key. When I forget to apply - certain parts fad and certain parts stay tan.. :)

Hi, PJ - I wish! Actually, I just realized it was cut that way. I thought it was a drawing. :)

Hi, Alyson - Yes.. :) Jergens is the best.

Fade, not fad.. :) I'm in serious need of a blog editor.

I've been a fan of Tan in a Can for awhile--and I liked the old ones better--these new ones that have the instant color are just messy. I only buy the ones that are white. The one I'm using now was heavily recommended somewhere here in blogland--and that's the Touch of Sun--is it Jergens? It smells better than most.

I haven't tried tanning lotions since I was maybe in middle school. Maybe I'll give it a try again sometime. The results were less than desirable all those years ago! And, yeah, maybe the chemicals aren't great for your skin, but it seems like *anything* can cause cancer or other problems. It's still better than spending too much time in the sun, I think.

I like being out in the sun, but I always wear sunblock now. I tan fairly easily, though, since pasty-white red-head as a starting point leaves you no where to go but darker ;)

So no Tan in a Can for me. Just good ol' UV rays.

Hi, Brooke - I'll have to check it out.. The regular ones do give off a weird aroma.

Hi, Caryn - Isn't that the truth.. :)

Hi, Amy - You're so lucky! ;)

I'm just amazed at the orange man you got as a picture!

The one I love is SafeTan because I used to get a rash with many other self tanners, but this one does not give me any. It is super natural and IT HAS NO SMELL which is huge for me.
The tan it gives is fantastic also, so if you are worried about bad chemicals this one is definitely worthy of checking out.
I am addicted to it, and it comes with a nifty little applicator, that makes putting it on very easy and even.
