Check this out

While blog surfing recently, I came across A Newsweek article link posted by literary agent, Kate Schafer, titled "Generation R (R is for Readers)" about how today's teens are reading a ton. Yay! Check it out here. What do you think?

This weekend marks the unofficial start of my favorite season, summer. Tourists are already rolling in. The boardwalk is hopping, my favorite restaurants are open, and the lifeguards are back. Love it! Any fun in the sun plans this weekend?

SCREWBALL NEWS: I'll be signing SCREWBALL at The Battle for the Bell Fastpitch Tournament this Saturday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. If you're in the area, check it out.

I was going to ask where you lived, but saw NJ as a label.
I love summer, too. Even here in Austin, TX!
Plans? 3 weeks in DC (I grew up there). Drive to Colorado via New Mexico. Relax a little.

That was a really good article-optimistic for a change! Spending this weekend in the desert where it's hot and windy-
Enjoy the signing!

Hi, Alyson - Have fun in the desert and stay cool. Optimistic is always good. :) Especially for authors.

I love that teen readers are on the rise! It means there are a lot of quality books out there, and that's good for all writers and readers.

As far as plans, 9 and I are leaving on a jet plane for SoCal. I can barely STAND IT!
